SEND Ethos Statement

At our school, we believe that every child is unique and has the right to feel included, supported and valued. We are committed to meeting the individual needs of all learners in every classroom, ensuring that learning is adapted so that every child can take part and make progress.

We place the child at the centre of everything we do. This means focusing not just on academic achievement but also on communication, social development, emotional wellbeing and physical skills. By creating a caring and nurturing environment, we aim to give children the confidence to grow, succeed and enjoy their learning.

We also believe in working closely with families and outside professionals so that together, we can give every child the best possible start in life and help them reach their full potential.

Our SEND Aims

• To make sure all children feel included, valued and part of our school community.

• To support every child to make progress from their individual starting points and celebrate their achievements.

• To build an inclusive ethos across the whole school, where differences are respected and strengths are recognised.

• To provide a safe and nurturing environment where children are happy, confident and able to thrive.

Harvills Hawthorn SEND Co-ordinator is Mr Brydon and he is contactable on info@harvillshawthorn.co.uk or 0121 557 1034. Thank you.
