Our Daily Vision, Mission and Values

Our vision at Harvills Hawthorn Primary School is for all of us to be the very best we can be.

Our mission is to prepare all of our children for the next stage of their lives to enable them to contribute positively to their community.

Our key values are:

1. Respect – Respect yourself, everything and everyone.

2. Love – We show love by caring for everyone and keeping them safe.

3. Inclusiveness – We include everybody in everything, no matter what.

4. Responsibility – We own our choices and understand that everybody is responsible for their actions.

5. Quality – We strive to do the very best that we can and accept nothing less.

Mental Health and Well-Being is the best it can be for all stakeholders.

School to be ready to move towards MAT status.

Children receive the highest quality teaching and learning.

All children access an ambitious curriculum that promotes achievement, engagement and independence.

Attainment to be in line with, or above, national average in all statutory assessments.

Progress in maths and writing to be in line with, or above, national averages.

Attendance for all children to be at least 96% in line with government expectations.

Teachers and support staff to be highly effective.

Staff have excellent subject knowledge.

Provision for 2 year-olds in place.

Pre-school services available to identify and intervene if necessary.

A range of adult education available to help people back in to work.

Mental Health and Well-Being services available to the community.

Youth services including Youth Club, careers guidance and well-being services. 

Whole school approach to Mental Health and Well-Being in place where there is an open and supportive culture.

Whole school strategy to reduce poor mental health.

Well-being is promoted to all stakeholders. 

Key personnel in place to recognise possible indicators of poor mental health and intervene early. 

Clear pathways for referral in place for all stakeholders. 

All stakeholders involved in consultation of school status.

School leaders, including Governors, agree on preferred MAT model.

Research and due diligence has taken place.
